I’m Gerrit Schöne. I travel through Europe, where I code and enjoy nature.

I’m a software developer from northern Germany with a lifelong curiosity for how things work. From an early age, I was drawn to programming, experimenting with coding projects and modding private servers for MMORPGs. This passion eventually led me to pursue a degree in computer science, which laid the foundation for my career in software development.

In 2022, I had the opportunity to live in Portugal, Spain, and Norway for several months, experiencing the digital nomad lifestyle firsthand. The combination of travel, flexibility, and new environments inspired me to explore the world at my own pace and embrace adventure as part of everyday life.

Today, I focus much of my free time on hiking, backpacking, and connecting with nature. Whether it’s multi-day journeys, challenging trails, or quiet moments outdoors, being in nature helps me recharge, stay active, and maintain perspective. It’s a way to balance a busy digital life with real-world experiences and adventures.
